Dr. Newbrough was born in Chickasha, Oklahoma and raised in the nearby town of Ninnekah.  He was accepted into the Oklahoma School of Science and Mathematics his junior year of high school and graduated in 1994.  

Dr. Newbrough attended college and medical school at the University of Oklahoma and soon discovered his love for anatomy and talent for performing technically challenging tasks.  Dr. Newbrough chose General Surgery for his residency, one of the most challenging of all residencies in both expectations and time commitment.  He completed his General Surgery residency at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville and earned his board certification in General Surgery by the American Board of Surgery.  During his General Surgery training, he developed a love for reconstructive surgery which led him to pursue additional training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.  This training consisted of two additional years of intensive training in reconstructive surgery for trauma, congenital or birth defects, and cancer which took place at the Texas Medical Center in Houston, Texas.  Here his training rotated among many hospitals including procedures performed at Hermann Hospital, the prestigious MD Anderson Cancer Center, and Texas Children's Hospital.  In addition to this training in reconstructive surgery, Dr. Newbrough also trained extensively in aesthetic procedures, the core of which took place at St. Joseph Hospital in Houston, Texas, best known as the birth place of the breast implant. 

Dr. Newbrough is artistic and technical, a perfectionist in every detail.  He desires only the best result for his patients, a result that is natural to you as an individual and aesthetically pleasing. 

Dr. Newbrough's love of family and Oklahoma were two major factors in the decision to move to Edmond and open his practice.   When not working he enjoys spending time with his family and in a variety of outdoor activities including road cycling, running, fishing and hiking.
